I work in IT and we utilize over 100 different applications that constantly need to be updated. We're generally notified via email when updates are available per software package. What we could really use is one monitoring application that queries each vendor to stay up to date on available updates and patches. This would be significantly useful if it interfaced easily with outlook or google calendars so that we seamlessly plan our maintenance windows. Currently it feels a lot like we're utilizing archaic means to stay organized and on track. I've searched a few times for things like software maintenance productivity solutions, application update managers, update management solutions.

We don't really have a real solution. We use onenote and sharepoint to try and stay organized, but it's something that has to be actively monitored and manually entered by an individual tech.
