Startup Idea: Serverless File Sharing and Collaborative Editing Software

Startup idea to develop a local serverless file sharing and editing software that allows users to share and collaboratively work on documents directly on their own computer. A specific feature the software needs is the ability to edit Word Perfect Files simultaneously.

I am an attorney and work with a family member who is an attorney. We have one employee. We need to share files and edit them at the same time optimally. Most of these files are Word Perfect Files. Now could use Google Drive or anything else like this but we don't trust Google Drive. Am looking for serverless sharing software. Basically something that turns a regular computer into your own cloud where you can share files with other users without turning data or information over to any company. Optimally if can edit Word Perfect Files at same time that would be great too. Yes. Looked online briefly. Found BitTorrentSync, Neextcloud, Owncloud, and Syncthing. Didn't implement any as too much time needed to test and install everything on all computers.
