Startup Idea: Automated Employee Scheduling Software for Event Coordinators
In my work as an Event Coordinator, part of my job was to make schedules for a 15 person work force with sensitivity to time-off requests, full-time or part-time hours, and general availability.
What I had hoped to find was a software that would allow me to do the following:

Store employee information as a sort of profile or set of values that would indicate important characteristics for scheduling

Create rule-sets that could be easily changed according to our offices needs (e.g. if a set of two weeks is going to heavy or light, or if some days start earlier or end later than others.)

Generate a two week schedule in relation to all of these values. I attempted to find scheduling software for this solution but was not able to find one that did exactly what I was looking for. I had been recommended "WhenIWork," which seemed to be the most popular, but it did not generate schedules with the sensitivity that our office requires.
