Startup Idea: Smart Loading Optimization Software for Freight Industry

Startup idea to develop a smart loading optimization software for the freight industry. The application will calculate efficient loading plans for outgoing trucks based on max weight and unit values, improving productivity and reducing late shipments.

I work in the LTL industry. Specifically overseeing the loading of freight with Fedex Freight. I oversee freight that gets delivered to my center and work on loading it all efficiently onto outgoing trucks.

Dealing with so many shipments makes it difficult to properly plan in advance how and when certain things get loaded. A program that could calculate what should go where, based on given values for max weight and units per truck, would pick up productivity and lower the amount of shipments that get sent out late.

This is highly beneficial software I would gladly pay for. The amount of money and work hours saved over a given time period would be great for company earnings.
