Startup Idea: Work Instruction Management Software for Manufacturing Engineers

Startup idea to develop a software solution for manufacturing engineers which automates the process of creating, tracking and updating work instructions, minimizes manual errors and optimizes part number tracking and bill of materials management.

I work as a manufacturing engineer for an aerospace engineering company. My work involves mainly making work instructions. All of those are written by hand in MS word, making several hundred page long books. Very often, typos are made, and changes are made, and we have to go in and manually update to fix these problems. A software that helped track things like part numbers and work against a bill of materials would be pretty nice, or just a software for easily writing work instructions I suppose.
