Startup Idea: Real-time Scheduling App for Disaster Restoration Contractors

Startup idea to develop a scheduling application that allows field representatives in disaster restoration companies to update their time of completion and arrival at next site. This real-time update capability could improve customer service and decrease the need for rescheduling calls.

I work for a disaster restoration contractor.

Currently, we have no good way to schedule appointments for our field representatives. We have attempted in the past to schedule based on time windows, but we would like to provide more accuracy to our customers. Perhaps an app that our salesmen could tap when they are 30 mins from completing the estimate prior to the next one. And then again when they leave one site and go to the next.

This would need to be a mobile as well as an application that could run on a laptop.

I would pay for this software.

If this software worked well, it would save us time in calling the customer several times to reschedule appointments, etc. It would also improve our customer service scores in that our customers would know exactly when our salesmen would be arriving.
