Startup Idea: Mobile Enabled Telepresence Platform for Government IT Teams

Summary for idea #2096
Startup idea to develop scalable, mobile software enabling ad-hoc video conferencing for Government IT staff across various locations. This would foster team unity and face-to-face interactions, countering disunity from physical separation. This may include offering a free version with limited concurrent connections and paid upgrades for more.

I work in Government IT.

We have several offices around our jurisdiction and frequently have staff any any number of locations. An easy way to have ad-hoc telepresence type interactions with one another. We have considered standalone video conference gear that is always connected to another site, but that seems wasteful and not very scalable.

A mobile option would be helpful as we all have high-end mobile phones or tables and be easier to transport than a laptop or equivalent.

The software is something that we would pay for, but could offer a free version with a limited number of concurrent connections and paid upgrades for more.

The software would help maintain team unity and face-to-face interactions when it's not physically possible. We find that as teams work apart in various locations disunity starts to form and this could help counter act that.
