Startup Idea: Software for On-the-Fly Stage Lighting Control

Startup idea to develop a software focused on creating responsive, complex light patterns for improvisational theater. The software should allow grouping of certain light fixtures together for instant access and reactivity, unlike traditional light board software designed for rehearsed plays.

I specialize in stage lighting for improvisational theater.

Currently, a lot of software for light boards is set up for rehearsed plays, so that the designer is able to cue up a certain amount of light cues and then run them in sequence. It's extremely difficult to create complex and responsive light patterns on the fly, using just the light board switches. I have been working around the problem by color coding everything on the light board and embedding certain combinations in my muscle memory, but it would be extremely useful to have software that would allow me to group certain fixtures together and be able to access them at a moment's notice.
