Startup Idea: Cake and Cookie Decoration Amount Estimator

Startup idea to develop a software solution that acts as an accurate and reliable amount-estimator for cake icing and cookie dough calculations. The software should help in color proportioning for themed cake and cookie decorations, minimizing wastage and improving the decorating process.

I make cakes and decorated theme cookies. I would love to have an easy and reliable amount-estimator for how much cake, icing, cookie dough to make. Also, a REAL pain-point to me is: say I know I need 3 C of icing to decorate the cookies. Sometimes it's very hard to know how much of each color to tint the different colors out of that 3C. Say it was a Spongebob faced cookie. Out of the 3C of icing for 12 cookies I know I need white for background, black for outlining, yellow for his face, a tiny bit of brown for the line on his socks, etc. but it's always a guess and I may have too much or not enough. Then,if it's not enough, who wants to go to all the trouble to make a whole new batch of icing just because I may need 2T of a certain color. Meanwhile, while I really need that 2 T of one color because I didn't estimate the amount right I may have 1/4 C of another color I made far too much of and it will just go in the trash. As a decorator I go through this a LOT. Though it works out, it never feels cost-effective nor a smooth process.
