Startup Idea: Health-Safe Commuting App

Startup idea to develop a mobile app that uses sensors to detect germ-infested environments on public transportation, alerting users on which areas to avoid for a healthier commute.

I work at a major research university in Cambridge, MA as a grants administrator. I now have to commute by commuter rail from the Boston suburbs. Last fall when I used this system, I was sick with a cold that would not go away for months. I know this was cause by germs caught on the train and subway. I would like software on my phone which would alert me on which handrails not to touch, or which connecting subway car would be best avoided because of the atmosphere on that train car.

I would pay for this software.

I would like the software on my phone to be able to detect a germ ridden environment, by using sensors.
