Startup Idea: Real-Time Tracking & ETA Software for Oilfield Service

Startup idea to develop a client-oriented software solution which displays real-time tracking and estimated time of arrival (ETA) for oilfield service transportation. The intention is to improve communication, decrease unnecessary calls and ensure customers can access only what's relevant to them - enhancing service efficiency and team productivity.

I am a dispatch manager for an oilfield service company and we currently have software to track where we will be picking up our next load and when others will be due. However we don't have a customer facing solution.

Often our customers will question whether we will be able to make it to wells in time and call in an unnecessary amount of times asking for an ETA. We need a program that is easy to use that allows the customer to see in real time where our trucks are, as well as showing them an ETA on when we will be hitting all of their wells.

Unfortunately my company does not see this as necessary and they don't want our customers to have access to our data base. I have an idea but have not found a solution. I feel if we give customers a back door access code to our system we can enable them to see just their wells and what time we have recorded for when we will be there. this will enable them to double check and let us know if we need to be anywhere sooner or later than the plan. this will greatly cut down on the calls we receive and allow my team to focus on what needs to be done rather than baby sitting and reassuring customers most of their shift.
