Startup Idea: Automated Employee Scheduling Software

Startup idea to develop an automated employee scheduling software. The program would enable employees to request time off and the software would use an algorithm to generate a feasible schedule, taking into account all requests and specified requirements such as minimum hours for certain employees. The program is aimed to save several hours a week for management and ensure efficient work allocation.

I have worked at several restaurants over the years. I have even been a manager of a restaurant and I am very familiar with all of the duties involved.

One of the most time consuming tasks is scheduling.

Scheduling employees while taking into account requested time off and other factors like holidays is a very painstaking process.

My proposition is a software program that would automatically schedule employees shifts.

The idea is for a program that every employee can access where they can request time off and the program itself uses an algorithm to come up with the schedule for the next week while automatically factoring in all of the different requirements such as minimum number of hours for certain employees and requested days off.

This would cut back on several hours a week from managers time requesting time off as well as employees checking and rechecking with managers whether their time off request has been acknowledged.

I think a scheduling software would be a huge hit with many types of businesses, not just restaurants.
