Startup Idea: Personalized Online Shopping Deals Tracker

Startup idea to develop a software/app that leverages user's personal data i.e., interests, hobbies, shopping habits to track discounts and coupon codes on specified websites or related e-commerce platforms. It notifies the users whenever products on their interest are on sale or when new coupon codes are available for use.

I am a frequent online shopper. Specifically, I like to shop on Amazon and various online photography stores. I like to buy items at a discount. However, I find that it is hard to keep track of whenever products are discounted, or whenever coupon codes are released for items that are relevant to my interests.

I find it would be very beneficial to have either a software or application that collects personal data, such as interests, hobbies, shopping trends, and items you are looking to buy in the future.

You could enter websites that you frequently use, and the software would search through these websites, as well as other websites you may not know about that sell products pertaining to your interests. Whenever a product relating to the personal data the app or software collected goes on a discount, or the website releases an applicable coupon code that could be used to buy the item for a cheaper amount than usual, the software or app would notify you so that you could take advantage of the sale. This would also help in not missing out on sales you were not aware of. I have tried to find a solution to this. Search terms included "sale tracker," "Amazon discount tracker," "current sales going on" and more. To solve this problem, I just constantly check Amazon and photography sites, go through the sales, and see if anything I want to buy is listed with a discounted price.
