Startup Idea: Comprehensive Animal Tracking Software

Startup idea to develop a software that can read barcodes from a tag, collar, tattoo or other means attached to pets and livestock. The software needs to facilitate remote scanning, wireless and web access, and has a database that saves important information about the animal. It would ideally be user-customizable and generate instant information on a mobile device upon scanning. It could potentially also include AI capabilities to detect diseases and overdue shots in the animals.

Software that reads barcodes from a tag, collar, tattoo or other means for pets, livestock. I’ve researched this and there doesn’t seem to be a comprehensive solution. By comprehensive I mean there’s nothing that would allow remote scanning (e.g., in the field with livestock from a mobile device), wireless, web access and, more importantly, a database back-end that save important information about the animal (e.g., DOB, weight, allergies, owner, health, shots and whatever else). As for the data stored, it would be nice to have it user customizable and, upon scanning, the info would instantly pop up on a mobile device of one’s choosing.

The software could also maybe have some AI that could spot diseases, overdue shots and things like that.

I may be wrong but I did some research and didn’t see anything that was this comprehensive.
