Startup Idea: Niche GPS App for Ride Share Drivers

Startup idea to develop a specialized GPS app designed specifically for ride share drivers. The app should provide route options to ensure drivers arrive on the correct side of the street to pick up passengers, minimizing the need for rerouting or making dangerous U-turns.

I'm an uber driver, and although there are several GPS apps on the scene already, there is one huge thing that they all seem to lack. While on Google Maps you are afforded the opportunity to choose route options like avoiding tolls or highways, there is currently no option for ride share drivers. Every day when I am heading to a pickup, I have to check and recheck to make sure I will be arriving on the correct side of the street to pick up my passenger. Often it is not an issue and I end up arriving on the right side of the street and can seamlessly make my pickup, but on occasion I am routed to a street on the wrong side and have to make either several turns to reroute to the correct side, or risk making a dangerous u-turn often across very busy streets. I'm sure in smaller cities this is not as much of an issue, but living in LA with the amount of traffic we have small things like this can become huge headaches.
