Startup Idea: Standardized Software for Medical Laboratory Order Management

Startup idea to develop a standardized software ordering system specifically created for the needs of medical laboratory scientists and phlebotomists. The software would improve efficiency by digitizing and organizing outpatient orders, thus reducing the manual search and potential misfiling issues, ultimately improving turnaround times and patient care.

I am a medical laboratory scientist who also has to do some phlebotomy from time to me. A huge pain is having to look by hand thru a box of physician orders before calling the patient back. It it time consuming to look thru the orders, plus often times, orders are misfiled. When this happens, even more time is wasted having to contact the physician office to try and obtain a current lab order. A standardized software ordering system for all outpatient orders would be wonderful and help improve turn around times and serve our patients more efficiently.
