Startup Idea: Bar Tab Management Software

Startup idea to develop a software that helps bar industry professionals keep track of their customers' tabs. This software is designed to hold card information, log visit dates and tab amounts, ensuring no unpaid tabs are left behind.

I work in the bar industry and although most customers are considerate of paying their bar tabs after a visit, I have had many people not do so. For the most part these people are regulars who visit the establishment on an almost daily basis. Usually we request a credit card or debit card to hold a tab open, although regulars (whom sometimes leave without paying) are inclined not to give their cards be cause they claim they "won't walk out". As bartenders we do trust our regulars but sometimes a walkout does happen. It would be nice to have a system that "holds" card information, the date of their visit along with their tab for that visit and be able to pull up their information on their next visit to keep the tabs running together. This would ensure that the previous bartenders or servers attain their tips previously and do not have to end up paying the customers tab out of their own pocket.
