Startup Idea: Database Management System for Shipping Company

Startup idea to develop a robust Database Management System for a shipping company dealing in computers. This system needs to efficiently manage large data related to assets and MAC addresses, and avoid corruption issues due to multiple writing processes.

I work for a shipping company that ships computers. We have a large database of data that is stored to keep track of assets and MAC addresses, but we have issues with using multiple computers that write to the database. If too many computers write to the database at one, they will corrupt the database due to, what I believe to be, a pointer issue.
I would love for a quality product that can make this database solution better, and to possibly move away from ACCESS and office products in general. No.
