Startup Idea: Freelance Income and Outstanding Payments Tracking App

Startup idea to develop a software that helps freelancers, particularly writers, efficiently track their income from various sources. The envisioned software would allow the user to input details regarding each client, payment amount, and expected payout time. These details would then be synthesized into a visually-pleasing, calendar-style graphic that makes it easy to track each article and the days when funds will be available.

I am a freelance writer. As a freelance writer you are utilizing several different sources of income and the waiting period for when you get paid for your article submissions varies from a few days to a few weeks.

This makes it somewhat challenging when trying to coordinate paying bills with your income. I currently use Excel to keep track of article submissions and expected payoff dates, but it takes some work to create spreadsheets.

It would be nice to have a piece of software that would make this process easier. The software would let you input each client, payment amount and expected payout time, then it would take all the data and display it on a calendar-like graphic that makes it easy to track each article and the days when funds will be available.

There are millions of freelancers in different industries (not just writers) that would probably like to have something like this.
