Startup Idea: Unified Procurement Management System
I work in procurement, with private and public contracts. This is mostly purchasing/manager IT services/hardware for a fortune 500 company.
The biggest pain point is the different "silos", or systems that we have to navigate that hold similar info, but not similar enough to pull everything at once. Part of this is due to legacy systems that we have, but it's also a lack of GOOD software/knowledge to create a new system.
Yes, this software would be paid for - definitely!
The man hours involved would be reduced greatly by combining data (tagging it I suppose) from disparate systems and placing it in one interface. We have too many DB's that require different access levels and there is no overlap. This has been a problem in procurement/contracting since I've been in the industry for almost 20 years.
