Startup Idea: System Maintenance Reminder Tool for IT Infrastructure Management
I am an IT engineer for the infra structure development group for the systems and applications at the infrastructure management computer services. Having the role of that every IT engineers responsibility to implement the changes in various level to systems in regards of the security, scalability, performance for the business continuity in priority categorization of high, critical, major related changes in a daily, weekly, monthly or as needed. All these changes have been approved by the technical advisory board, change advisory board followed by changes been created through various tool such as BMC remedy, ITSM service now, HP open view, then after as said it will be approved by the governance people. But when it comes to implementation of the particular changes during the scheduled time in terms of 24/7/365 days support services there will be huge lack performed by the engineers by not having any reminders published by the tools, as the reminder has been created manually by the person who created the change orders initially as it is completely manual work, where the tools being utilized to create the changes to support the business continuity has not having auto pop up reminder to the current shift engineers, these are the very big deal in infrastructure management systems to the business interruption due to the malfunction of the servers for financial or any other type of applications such as SAP, Hyperion, Business objects, CCM, CRM etc..by chance of missing the changes to systems on the scheduled time because of the reminder option lacking on the tools used for.
