Startup Idea: Startup Idea for Improved Amazon MTurk Script

Summary for idea #2372
Startup idea to develop an enhanced, reliable script or program for Amazon Mechanical Turk users that acts like a 'Time Clock'. This would allow workers to log their hours and estimate their earnings per hour, day, week, month and so on. Existing scripts have proven unreliable and inaccurate, hence, an opportunity for an improved, user-friendly version that potentially offers features like pending and actual wage calculations.

You're using it right now. Amazon Mechanical Turks. Right off the bat, when talking to other users in Facebook pages they recommend using "scripts" to make your life easier and faster....making more money. The problem is, the vast majority of these scripts are old, unsupported and several don't even work that well, causing issues.

One such script I've been trying to use is called MTurk Wage Reporter. This is suppose to show me how much money I'm making per hour, on average or broken down by requester as well. All these scripts are free, but you know the old saying..."you get what you pay for!" That I do believe applies especially well here.

If I knew anything about JavaScript I'd write the program myself. But I'm thinking more along the lines of a "Time Clock" for Turking. I can "punch in" at the beginning of my day. "Punch out" anytime I want a break or lunch. Punching back in afterwards. Then a final punch out for the end of the day. One could take this as far as $0.00 per hour. Or how much per week, month, ytd, and so on. The main issue is getting to exactly what am I making per hour. I've asked on several Turking Facebook pages what I can do about getting the current recommended program working. I've also asked what other's do. There really is no solution to this problem right now. I have a somewhat good idea what I'm making as everything you do daily is pending approval. So you could also have pending wage per hour and actual wage per hour for any given day your are working.
