As a wildland firefighter it is important to use history to your advantage when in comes to wildfires. Most firefighter who get out into bar positions on a fire repeat the same mistakes that others have made years ago when the same area was burning on a wildfire. A solution that would greatly help this issue is to have a software that can use previously recorded data about the fire behavior on an incident and overlay that with the current for conditions to predict possible outcomes of the fire based on past evidence.
