Startup Idea: Employee Clock-in Activity Tracker

Summary for idea #2408
Startup idea to create a wearable device, similar to a pedometer or smart watch, that logs an employee's presence within the building from clock-in to clock-out. This could prevent management from creating uncomfortable situations where employees lie about the manager's whereabouts.

This is strange, but I think it could be helpful. I know I can't be the only person facing this issue at work. My manager clocks in and then pretends he's going to run to another store for some random reason (to pick something up or drop something off.) Then he's gone for about four hours. I think he literally goes out and sleeps in his cars, goes out to eat, goes to the movie theater, i don't know! He asks us employees to lie a little when his boss calls and asks for him. We're supposed to tell her he's been gone for ten to fifteen minutes. It puts us all in a very uncomfortable situation, and the store runs horribly when he's gone since he's supposed to help during the lunch and dinner rushes. We are essentially one person short. I think that there should be a device similar looking to a pedometer or smart watch that you wear when you clock in until you clock out. It will log how long someone has left the building. If we had this device, my manager couldn't put us employees in such a bad situation.
