Startup Idea: Chemical Inventory Management Software

Startup idea to develop a program that automates the process of checking chemicals in and out of an industrial lab, ensuring an exact record of what is available. This software could also have a feature for properly guiding on the storage of these chemicals to ensure safety.

I work with industrial chemicals. Often, we need to record how much of a given chemical how much of said chemical we still have and the age of the bottle. Ideally, I'd like a program that automates the process of checking chemicals in and out of the building so that each lab has an exact record of what they have. Basically, you could select the chemicals from a drop down menu. The software could also tell you where you could store things so that acids and bases didn't get stored together etc.
