Startup Idea: Integrated Automotive Maintenance Software Solution

Startup idea to create an integrated software solution for automotive maintenance and repair professionals. The program would automatically compile and update manufacturers' materials databases, maintenance schedules, and technical service bulletins, alongside fluid specifications and service procedures. It should also include functionality for VIN code input for specific vehicle identification. The aim is to improve productivity by reducing the need to access multiple software platforms.

I work in the automotive maintenance and repair business. I am the lead technician for a large, independently owned facility that repairs and maintains all makes and models. What is becoming increasingly painstaking is having manufacturer's materials databases, maintenance schedules, and technical service bulletins that update required maintenance and specifications available in real time in the same program. Seeing as all of this information is internet based, it would be extremely awesome if a software program could automatically gather all current schedules, fluid specifications, and updated specification and service procedures through service bulletins all in one place. It would need to be able to take and VIN code input to identify the specific vehicle. I would absolutely pay for this software as our current software options in the industry give us pieces of this information across several software platforms. This adds a mound of unnecessary down time to productivity.
