Startup Idea: Advanced Photo Tagging and Organization Software Startup Idea

Summary for idea #2441
Startup idea to develop an advanced photo tagging and organization software that can accurately tag images both automatically and manually. This software will learn to recognize recurring images and objects and build a searchable database, making it highly beneficial for professionals in image editing field. It aims to work on apple mobile devices and with images in the cloud, significantly reducing the time spent on manually sorting and finding specific photos.

I work in image editing and have thousands of photos on my computer, as well as many more on my client's computers. Often we are looking for a photo of a specific subject (ex: photos with frogs in them) or even a specific colour scheme (ex: a photo with predominantly purple tones). Many image organization software programs and apps on the market claim to be able to recognize and tag photos automatically, creating a searchable database. In practice, this never works. Photos are never tagged correctly, and rarely, if ever are they searchable. I have one particular client who routinely needs to search through her iCloud for photos with a specific thing in them. However, without ways to tag the photos with metadata, each one must be sorted manually into albums so that she can find related photos. I (and my client) would happily pay for a software that allowed for manual tagging of photos and learned to recognize recurring images so that it would eventually be able to automatically tag all photos with a specific item in it (ex: someone who takes a lot of food photos would have all food photos automatically tagged with food). Even better would be if the software was capable of accurately recognizing and tagging objects on its own (ex: a photo of some purple flowers would automatically be tagged "purple, flower, nature" etc). This software would work on mobile devices and catalog all images (especially the ones in the cloud). It would work with apple devices, allowing users to tag images automatically and manually with location, subject, items in the photo, etc. We could search for things like vacation photos, construction photos, purple flowers, or any combination of tags based on user trends. Being able to automatically tag photos would save hours of manually sorting individual photos into multiple albums based on possible search criteria, as well as eliminate that persistent problem of "I know I have a photo of it somewhere... but where is it?".
