Startup Idea: Customer Request and Inventory Tracking Software for Retail

Startup idea to develop a retail software that tracks customer requests, maintains inventory records and notifies both the retailer and customer when a requested item arrives in store. The software should also manage customers' collection details. Notifications can be customized based on each customer's preference.

I work in retail. I feel that a software that keeps track of customer request would be helpful. Also, if it could notify me and the customer when my store receives the item. I have a lot of customers that collect Funko Pop!, it would be helpful if there was a way to know what they have, what they want and when/if I get it in my store. Keeping track of it in my notebook can be messy and disorganized. I would pay for software that would do this. I think the option for the software to notify the customer would be helpful however the option to turn it off or on would be nice. Some people prefer a phone call and others don't mind a text.
