Startup Idea: Price Comparison and Shopping List Manager App

Startup idea to develop a mobile application that automatically pulls and compares prices of desired household items across different stores, and organizes shopping lists based on best pricing and location. The app also allows the user to manually input data if desired and comes with additional features, like location reminders.

I am a stay at home mom, responsible for caring for the needs of our household. The pain point that I have is in finding the best prices for the items that we need.

For example, if we need lightbulbs, I have a variety of stores that I could go to, but no guarantee that they would have the brand or type that I am looking for. Furthermore, the cost between stores can have drastic differences, and it is important that I find the best deal.

This pertains to all groceries and household items that I have to replace.

It would be awesome if there was software that could either automatically pull the different prices and locations of items that the user is looking for and give you the best option for your location, or if there could be software that you could input the data into as you find it so that it can organize and manage it to be used as needed.

A helpful output of the software would be if it could take in the product, price, and location, and sort the data into shopping lists that could be referenced for each individual store. If you could also use it for shopping lists by telling it what you need and having it add that to the most current list so that you remember to buy it when you are at that store, that would be really helpful as well. Perhaps a location reminder to buy those products even.

Yes, I would absolutely pay for this software! Especially if it could work on my iPhone while I am on the go.
