Startup Idea: Voice Activated Data Recording System for Special Education Classroom
I work as an instructional aide in an early childhood special education classroom. Because we are dealing with small children with special needs, we need to take a lot of data on their behaviors so we can evaluate educational gains and try to track and graph behavior trends. There are lots of programs that let you track and graph data. The problem that we run into is that we don't have the time or the HANDS to take the data. We can't drop what we are doing to mark a chart or graph because of the nature of our job. It would be so nice if there were some sort of voice activated system that we could shout it into so that we don't have to take our focus off of the children. We could use any type of system that lets us take the data without having to physically stop and record it. Our data would then become more accurate and it would help us in developing better educational and behavioral programs to address the needs of the children.
