Startup Idea: Mobile App for Private Investigators

Startup idea to develop an app or software upgrade for private investigators' mobile devices that could add time and date stamp to the video as it's being recorded and switch off the microphone. The mechanism aims to minimize the use of additional software to edit the captures and to substantiate the authenticity in legal procedures.

I am a private investigator and use covert video devices frequently. On almost all of them you cannot see where the lenses are pointing so you have to guess. Because of this and the fact that cell phones are so common most use their cell phones in place of covert cameras. I wish there was an app or software upgrade that would allow a user to add a time and date stamp to the image as it's being recorded and also to turn off the microphone. Most cell phone video has to be run through other software programs to add the time and date stamp and to remove the audio and this decreases the quality and can cause issues in court regarding authenticity.
