I work for a large retailer. A few years ago they implemented a new way for employees to use a time clock. Before it was just a basic time clock that began their time and stopped each swipe and if they had to override it needed a managers swipe first. Well the company came out with a new time clock that gave the associates more access and buttons to choose. It got rid of managers having to be there to override associates, but associates are given to many buttons to click they have to choose when they are going to lunch, coming back from lunch, clocking in, or clocking out, managers also do not have to override in order for them to clock in. With having so many options they are making errors on a daily basis that have to be corrected. A simple solution would be they still keep the extra functions that are there but only have 1 button for clock in, meal, back from meal, and clock out instead of having for choices there.
