Startup Idea: Order Speed Tracker System for Restaurants
Summary for idea #2637
Startup idea to develop a timing system that tracks sandwich preparation times in a shop. The system will record when a cashier receives an order and the moment it's ready. This data can be used to analyze order completion times, manage workflow efficiently and identify employees' performances over time.

I work at Which Wich, a sandwich shop, and the customer fills out their order on a bag, and then hands it to the cashier. The problem is, we have no way of timing these bags, so we only have a vague idea of how we're doing. Maybe if we could develop a system where the cashier presses a button whenever they take a customer's bag, and the person at the other end presses a button when they finish the sandwich, and then we could get an idea of what are average times are. But we also need to be aware of excessively long bag times, so we need to keep track of that somehow as well. This is data that we should keep track of from day to day, and we could link employees to it, to see who's the strongest on the line, and who's slowing us up.
