Startup Idea: Musician Assistance App for Locating Target Audience

Startup idea to create an app that helps traveling musicians to book shows. The app would enable users to locate people within specific geographical locations who have similar music interests, facilitating easy booking of shows.

I am a traveling musician who plays shows in people's living rooms all over the country (it's a scene, we're super underground). I book probably 99% of my shows through Facebook by using my personal account to locate people in other towns who like the same music as me, then I ask them for help in putting together a show. I wish there were an app that I could install that would let me locate people by city (or maybe people within 10 miles of a particular zip code) who have "liked" bands/artists that I choose to search by (artists who play in the same obscure genre as me). There are a lot of other DIY musicians like me who struggle with the same issue. I would be willing to pay $50-100 for this kind of app. It would be incredibly useful.
