Startup Idea: Digital Notebook for Research Labs

Startup idea to develop a user-friendly, standardized digital notebook for research labs. The program should simplify the process of organizing and retrieving information, including images and figures. It should also facilitate seamless information transfer between researchers.

I have been desperate to get a digital notebook for my research lab that is more user friendly and standardized than what's available. Particularly in organization - many of the digital notebooks are overly complicated and then when you want to remove images or figures for publications from the notebook it is difficult. I'd like to see a program that is much more barebones than the fancier digital notebooks or that reads like an actual notebook, not a sea of tabs that is just a chaotic as the user. The biggest problem is passing information on to the next research to join the lab that is clear and relevant. I'd like a way to standardize and save this information so that the next scientist can pick up where the former left off without so much head scratching.
