Startup Idea: Development of Project Management Software for Field Labor Teams

Startup idea to develop a comprehensive yet user-friendly project management software tailored specifically for field labor crews. This software should provide functionalities like monthly schedules, job information, location details, checklists, contact information and an option to take photos, tag them, and write notes. Importance is given to offline access due to remote working conditions and simplicity for user engagement.

Project Management software for field labor crews. There are a ton of solutions for the office (project libre, livewire, ms project) but few of them take into the needs and issues that construction laborers have. A program with the schedule for a month, all the relevant job information, locations, a to do or check list, contact info for both the PM and site super and GC PM, plus the ability to take photos, tag them, and write notes on them. This would give guys an idea of what they have to do, where and how to do it, and what is expected of them, as well as putting maps, plans, job info, contact info, and a schedule all in one place. Knowing what needs to be done is half the battle and I feel something like this could help. It would have to be simple and very intuitive because the average day day laborer may not be very well educated or experienced with technology, but I think it could really help.

As a current PM I need better ways of communicating information with my guys in the field. We work in Colorado so frequently there is limited or no cell service and they can be 4 hours + from our shop, so having everything on hand is crucial.
