Startup Idea: Internet Connection Monitoring Software for Online Businesses

Startup idea to develop software that monitors ISP connection for online businesses, alerting users of weak signals, planned service outages or server issues, allowing them to plan accordingly, reduce downtime, and improve communication with service providers.

I run an online business 24 hours a day seven days a week. One thing that I absolutely can't stand is when my internet suddenly cuts out at random hours of the day. If there where a software that would either warn you of possible outages or the reason why service has been interrupted it would be so much easier to properly plan around the issue or have the service provider immediately fix the issue.

For instance I spent 2 hours on the phone talking to a customer service rep that had absolutely no clue what he was doing. It took me hanging up and connecting to a different rep to get my questions answered. If there where an app or something that could monitor my ISP connection and give me updates or alerts on weak signals, planned service outages, or even if their servers are having troubles it would cut down on so much down time. I'd be able to get to the bottom of any issue instantly by identifying what happened.

To be honest I'd pay a monthly service fee just for this ability.
