Startup Idea: Customizable Notification App Startup Idea

Summary for idea #273
Startup idea to create an alert system app specifically catered to users working in hyperdynamic job environments such as usability testing, HITs, product reviews, etc. The app will offer highly customizable alerts - different sounds, importance levels, quiet times etc. - and an extensive range of distinct sound sets to help users identify and respond to tasks swiftly and efficiently.

A lot of the work that I do is on a first-come basis such as usability testing, working on mturk, product reviews, etc. With mturk alone, I have forum alerts for HITs, HIT finder alerts (hit monitor, panda crazy, and hit finder all running with different sound events). For most user testing websites I either have a page monitor set up that triggers a sound alert when the page changes or have custom filters so that each emailed job triggers a different sound alert on my phone. I really wish there was a more unified way of handling all of these alerts and am especially interested in highly customizable alerts (such as importance, sound, quiet times, etc.)

I far prefer custom audio to visual push notifications with a generic alarm sound. Having entire 'sound sets' that relate to each other in tone or style but having uniqueness in a way that immediately tells me which alert has triggered is highly valued. For instance, several of the user testing websites will send out an email for a new job and I may have less than ten seconds to snag the job before it is taken by someone else. Whereas other tones that might indicate low paying work or work that isn't time critical can be easily ignored (and without distracting me visually like the notifications do.)

Ultimately I'd like to have an app on my phone that offers an easy way to create these highly customized alerts and have a wide array of sound sets that are easy to identify. Most alarm, notification, or alert apps I have come across are too generic.
