Startup Idea: Automated Sports Statistics Aggregator and Sorter

Startup idea to develop a software that automatically collects, cleans and sorts sports statistics data from various web sources. This software would be designed to deliver a sortable, filterable and easily exportable data similar to what Excel's pivot tables and filters offer. It aims to alleviate the time-consuming process of manual data collection and processing faced by sports analytics professionals.

As a part of my job, I have to look over sports box scores and find the necessary statistics to compare for individual players. This is fairly easy, but it is time consuming. Also, the different stats pages use different formatting that does not line up.

I have to do all the data cleaning myself to line all this up and make it usable and sortable. It would be a huge help if there was a software that automatically sorted and cleaned the data from across the web to make it easily sortable and usable at the touch of a button.

The output from this would look like the sortable features that excel has for pivot tables and filters, and you could easily reach the conclusion of your searches and easily export stats. This would be a huge help to me. There is not really a solution for this at the moment, it has to be done by hand.
