Startup Idea: Advanced Music Recording and Mastering Software

Startup idea to develop a robust and user-friendly music recording and mastering software application. The software should offer an improved version of the existing music production programs offering features such as high-quality waveform editing, EQ, compression, and effects such as reverb and delay along with advanced mastering options.

I am a teacher and musician. I do a lot of home recording and make supplemental income from selling and streaming my music. There are tens of thousands of musicians out there that consider themselves “singer/songwriters.” Usually, these people play acoustic guitar and sing. I would LOVE an app or software that I can use to record my music that is EASY and PROFESSIONAL. Currently, GarageBand works well, but there are not enough effects that I need to truly polish my music. The following items should be included: Waveform editing, EQ, compression, and effects such as reverb and delay. These should be high quality and EASY to implement. Furthermore mastering options are a must. I would pay high end money for a better software or app of this nature. I currently use the GarageBand app to record but it is limited in what it can do. It needs better EQ and mastering options.
