Startup Idea: Developing a Unified Learning Management System for Universities

Summary for idea #2832
Startup idea to develop a unified Learning Management System (LMS) for universities that seamlessly consolidates faculty research and student interests for career decisions. The system should automatically pull data from different digital resources within the university's servers, allowing easy flagging based on faculty profile and user information, along with delivering handy analytics for system maintenance.

I am an educational technologist for a university department with over 20 faculty over the course of 2 years. During my initial work period, I was tasked with developing a learning management system that bridged faculty research with student interests for future career decisions. This included analytics, storage, and more.

Unfortunately, due to the disorganized nature of the university's IT department, I am finding it difficult to create a user friendly system that pulls from the necessary resources already available at different digital sources in the university's servers. Despite some progress made, we are still having trouble accessing these resources and developing our curated management system.

The ideal solution to this problem would be a single place to view and manage all our LMS tools and databases. A basic database type tool would be a great start to our problem, but it would be even better if the tool automatically pulled the information we needed so we could flag it based on faculty profile and user information.

Such analytics would be very helpful to maintain the system and ensure faculty of access to an easier system that suited their needs.
