Startup Idea: Employee Leave Request Management App

Startup idea to develop a simple and efficient app for employees in the retail industry to request and manage time off. The app should support features like logging in, requesting time off with reasons, and allowing uploads for emergency scenarios. Aim is to streamline communication and eliminate human errors in the leave request process for a better work effectiveness.

I work in the retail industry and I am a supervisor/manager of about 50 plus people. A lot of my employees complain about the in ability to get requested time off due to constant miscommunication from either the employee's them self or the managers they request time with. Now I will admit I've totally forgotten about time off that was requested and I felt awful forcing the person to work. What I think would be a good idea is if there was an app that would gather requests for being off. People could log in, request their time, state their reasons, and maybe even take pictures and upload them if it's an emergency or something. I think the app is simple enough and would be very effective at eliminating the human error when requesting time off. It's by far one of the biggest issues in my industry that employees complain about.

My higher ups have been trying to find a solid way to track this as it's been a big drain on work effectiveness. They have even talked about hiring programmers to create the software. We don't have a solution to the problem at this point, our methods are just not as efficient as it could be.
