Startup Idea: Startup Idea: Product Research Software for Businesses

Startup idea to develop a software solution that aids researchers in businesses with conducting product research. The software would serve as a comprehensive public/private company and product database search engine, enabling users to easily find specific product information such as its FDA approval status and country of manufacture.

I am a research analyst for a new start up, we have gone from 1 to 8 people in just over 6 months. We all have different roles in the company and my job is to research about our competitors products. I found myself spending more than several hours on trying to find more information on a certain product.

All I was looking was one, was it FDA Approved or cleared? Two, where is the product made? Not necessary where the exact it was manufacture, but more just simple, which country was it manufactured in?

I couldn't believe how difficult it was to find something like that on the internet for a product. I think a software could be helpful in this sense. A private/public company database search engine to help me do my market and product research. I know these can be expensive, but maybe have different tiers of the software and we can choose to pay a flat fee, subscription based and so on.
