Startup Idea: Software for Automated Ambulance Routing Management

Startup idea to develop a software solution for managing non-emergency ambulance transports. This would involve handling around 60 transports per day, factoring in patient contact time and traffic projections, with capabilities to include the customization of available trucks and adjusting time gaps between calls.

I am a Paramedic and we do a lot of non-emergency type calls. We have basic trucks that only transport dialysis patients. We need a program that you could plug in about 60 transports a day. There is about 10 to 15 minute patient contact time. That is any time that we are outside of the ambulance with the patient. This delay would need to be standardized into the program. The program would need to add all the patients addresses and times for pick up and returns. Then based on traffic projections, the program would create a run log for each truck to perform. It would allow for small errors in delays between each call (option that is adjustable). The program could also print the best route in between each call. Also, note that the available trucks to.run the calls would be customizable also. This program would be great because we have to estimate everything based of experience and guessing. The run log for all the ambulances takes about 3 hours to create. This program could also be used by any company that has routes that have to be appointed to different people. The company that I work for is highly interested in this if the price is a one time fee and not outrageous. Yes. There is a program that is similar but it costs over 60,000 a month to be part of the program. This program may not be automated, and may actually be manually put in by a person.
