Startup Idea: Economical Route Mapping Application for Logistics

Startup idea to develop an app that optimizes routes for logistics companies considering cost aspects such as tolls, mileage, and labor. The aim is to provide the most economical route rather than just the fastest one.

I work for logistic company, delivering goods to clients.

Currently when using map direction software, it gets fastest route. That does not create most optimal routes. There are situations when 2 minute of saving causes $3 dollars in tolls, and extra 10 miles of ride. As a company, we would rather save $3 on tolls, and save another $6 on mileage. Total saving would be $9. Driver earns $12 per hour, or $0.40 per 2 minutes of work.

Create an app that will take into consideration cost of tolls, cost of mileage, and cost of labor, and create most economical route.
