Startup Idea: Sophisticated Download Manager Plugin

Summary for idea #2902
Startup idea to help manage downloads more efficiently by developing a browser plugin. This download manager will have the ability to place downloaded files in specified folders based on parameters such as filename, size/type, download source, and content. It should be able to trigger .bat files, unzip downloaded packages, send mail through outlook, pull out info with regex and utilise that info in manipulating the file.

A more sophisticated download manager plugin.

I work for a financial firm and we have to download many files from many different places. We have to manually put the files where they belong and this is time consuming. I, personally, would pay nothing for this because I have created a .bat file that fills my needs. Had I been unable to make my .bat file, i think the product could be worth $20.

I want a download manager plugin for an internet browser that can place downloaded files not merely in the download folder, but in other folders based on filename, size/type, download source, and content (when possible). The plugin should also be able to trigger .bat files, unzip things, send mail through outlook, pull out info with regex and use that info in manipulating the file. I solve the problem now with an external .bat file that I trigger whenever I want to flush my download folder but I think a more user friendly approach would be better for most people.
