Startup Idea: Subcontractor Review and Discovery Platform for Construction Companies

Startup idea to build a software platform which functions as a searchable database and review system for subcontractors in the construction field. This would help general contractors in finding skilled and reputable subcontractors based on location and ratings left by previous clients.

I am an office manager for 2 construction companies that uses 100% subcontractors. Each business is located in a different state. One business has locations across the US. One business is only located in one state and stays local. The common issue that arises in both businesses is the difficulty of finding good subcontractors that are skilled in their trade with a good reputation.

What would be great would be to have a database or website where general contractors could rate experience with specific subcontractors. It would also create a directory of subcontractors by area. And this would connect subs looking for work with general contractors that need workers. Yes. I have searched in each specific field + city/state. The results returned are not what I need. Usually the search brings up more general contractors like the companies I work for.
