Startup Idea: Automated Preflight Settings Application for Prepress Industry

Startup idea to develop a software solution that can apply preset preflight settings on PDF files and relocate them to a specific network location. Ideally, the software would also flag jobs that don't meet specific specs.

I work as a prepress technician in a medium sized print shop. We process a wide range of jobs from customers that have a wide range of skill in preparing a digital file for print.

We used a web based system to accept orders digitally and record all of the relevant details about the job.

A software solution that could apply preset preflight settings on a .pdf and offload to a specific network location would be ideal. It would be even better if it could flag jobs that do not meet specific specs.

We would absolutely pay for this software. I have not. I suspect there are some softwares packages that do this with an offline solution.
