Startup Idea: Billing and Tax Tracking Software for Clinical Social Workers

Startup idea to develop a fuss-free and easy-to-navigate software that allows LCSWs (licensed clinical social workers) to track and record their income, services, and relevant tax information. The proposed software seeks to make this process less complicated and more streamlined, specifically for non-digital natives.

I am an LCSW (licensed clinical social worker) who can both independently operate and contract with outside companies. As such, I have to track my income from various sources, including various billing parties. Sections to factor in tax, as an independent operator must also be able to track this and can do so either once per year, or quarterly. Current software is usually designed for other fields and those in my field need software that can track services rendered, diagnoses and parties to bill. Because many of us are generally older or not digital natives, a streamlined and easy to navigate system would be best. The largest problem with today's software tends to be messy interfaces or multiple ways to get something done, which can cause confusion. I personally gave up trying to run independent in large part due to the poor selection of programs I currently have. Getting bogged down in interface and being unsure of what I need or sending billing to parties that looks confusing as it includes information that isn't necessary to services rendered turns off prospective clients. Search terms are generally billing software.
