Startup Idea: Bioinformatics Researcher Efficiency Tool

Summary for idea #3026
Startup idea to develop a program/tool capable of handling unlimited entries for genome sequence comparison in the IMG/MER database. This specialized bioinformatics tool would streamline work by lifting the current 500 organisms restriction and providing a robust CSV export feature.

I am a Bioinformatics researcher and I have to work with a database called IMG/MER. It is a biological database for microorganisms owned by the U.S. Department of Energy.

I utilize a function on this website called BLAST which is a genome sequence comparison tool. I sometimes have to compare 12,000+ organisms with 5+ different sequences. I can only compare 500 organisms at a time, per sequence. This results in me having to do 120+ entries. Which is very slow and tedious.

The ideal solution to this issue would be having a program or tool that can do an unlimited amount of organisms at a time. Preferably it could export the results as a well formatted CSV document. I usually grind through the work, which sometimes takes 12+ hours a day for a whole week. I have tried using BioPython to assist me but it doesn't export to CSV as well as I would like.
